Live Performance - Fadenkreuz -
Under the cross hairs, the aspect of time is under its yoke like an extradition to a brief invention of mankind: the assumption of measure and control. If I am in the action and under the crosshairs I can become conscious and I am gaging the option to take a closer look at the work; then it becomes like a timeless, microscopic stare into the centre of the action.
Life offers the material, like a waiter is presenting the finest, unknown cuisine. To eat it becomes a challenge without leaving the table - untaxed and avoiding the tab.
The image of appearance is also an autobiographical moment, which becomes my personal commitment to let go of what memory dictates i.e. as if to hang on to feelings attached to previous experiences.
The situation of performance receives the power to be in the moment of discharge and gain freedom from reminiscence.
At once thoughts arise in questions such as - What is the process of freeing oneself and by far from what? Is liberation acquitted and justified to be free at all?
Questions are asked to the autobiographical history of experiences and succeed to become the impetus for the artwork to be. Questions unanswered have the duty to sustain and to contemplate the nature of motif and meaning.
This is the reason for the origin of life and its materials.
That which has passed is not based on constrained conventions or defined belief-systems, and objects, materials are being re-visited for an estimation to reconcile the action in a situation bound to the feeling of time, which can be a immeasurable present.

The suits have been dismantled in the handling during several live performances in the past and they have been re-created in recent years. The suits are like the walls, which I have been building as three-dimensional structures in the 80’s/90’s. They are there to be overcome.
The suits have been created so that the body can be skinned.
The chosen materials of the suits represent a superficial layer, the characteristics of fabric and its function, relating to a specific known usage, which has been transformed and estranged through the live action. The purpose withdraws from meaning. It is an attempt to catch up with being ‘self’ by passing the ‘I’ in order to trespass on the conditioned notion of time.
In an instant the new, is known and old, and is still too young to be reflected.

‘ Paper Walk, Paper Talk X (fraglos)’

The live action took place outside in front of a stoned house wall. The Performance was in part an examination of interactivity and the exploration of participatory elements in order to experience cultural notions of historical events, anticipation of memory and the correspondence to my own emotional attachment of loss and gain.
It can be speculated that the two actions are somewhat connected as a journey to the center. of lasting grief.

PLUS-MOTION: Live Performance Art Series is influenced from the Ancient Greek word ‘συγκίνηση < αρχαία ελληνική συγκίνησις < συγκινέω-συγκινώ < σύν+κινώ’. Through performance art each artist uses their body with movement and chosen materials as objects to become elements and to create distinct and unfamiliar relationships in live performance. The action externalises, communicates and shares inner concerns and sentiments with the viewers who witness it. The objective of each artist is to present a situation and an image has been created through the aspiration, individual perception and the sentimental charge originated in the idea process. The roles of performer and viewer can be considered to reach the outer limitations of a physical and mental exhaustion and trails of fiction and reality merge on the threshold of conventional definition.

casual collateral occurrences, point one (N-CCO I)
In the moment when ‚trust’ is an idea concept, it is further away from its existence and is a construct of my thoughts; and when I close my eyes, I trust that realities begin to shift. The collaboration research between Eru (Alexander Rues) and Seven of Eglise (Dagmar I. Glausnitzer-Smith) is the exploration of the idea of presence between two simultaneous actions: experimental, improvised sound work and Performance Art Action. The presentation of the work by Eru and Seven of Eglise is always live and invites for a different image-sound perception. The two artists are not aware of each other’s actions and purposely carry no prior knowledge of the individual concepts. Only in the eyes of an audience or viewer two separate entities may collide, coincide or contradict each other’s spontaneous presence. The synthesis is an image and the perception of time appears illusionary and the impression becomes transparent.

- Knife, Fork, Scissors, Light - English
In the action there is a possible adaptation to the power of assimilation which relates to the validity of observation. However, in the occurrence of objects, things remain still, lifeless, untouched and in their conventional meaning are reduced to functionality, appearance, characteristics and form. The potential of the object’s attachment to a relationship happens in the presence of a human being, in this case the Performance Artist. The situation in the moment of Performance is characterised by his/her own understanding of position, of role and the recognition that there is a connection with the placed objects au milieu. It is possible to assume that through a sense of knowing about these objects, the relationship begins to invisibly become a speculation of ‘object-liveliness’. It is as if in the action existence can be transmitted, the suspiration of a ‘thing’ which otherwise is functional by habitual knowledge. The metaphysical vocabulary urges the process in the mind and forks out another dimension: the motion of energy. These powerful mental actions deliver a sensitivity for the body to move into unknown directions which culminate in the effect performative action.
This is the hypothetical premise for the Performance, entitled: knife, fork, scissors, light. There is a play as a reminder of danger in handling these particular objects and the assumption of knowledge is juxtaposed with the unforeseeable surprise based on the impact of speed and the notion of chance. And in the occurrence of coincidence chance becomes ‘real’ and is moved into the conscious presence of Live Performance.

Déjà oups
Once upon a city…The loss of a location is a speculative excursion into past images of places un-visited, the presence of postcards and their novel sources may become the reoccurring dream state, mental images recollected in an unexpected situation. A chain of images brand-marked in the forgotten corners of the brain, recall intuitive landmarks of the un-reconciled action. There is a moment, which records the future during the failed attempt of gathering thoughts into language. Sustaining this conflict during the frail digestion of unaccounted data input my own body is beginning to fuse with unknown spaces and perhaps unravels the attempt and unconsciously denies the loss of a location. Unknown territories can merge with the known and familiar sentiment of the estranged images of memory traces and stimulate their unconscious emotional states.
